Acclaimed Falmouth based landscape gardener, shrub specialist and TV presenter Matt James dropped by to April Media Productions recording studios in Plymouth.
Matt was recording the voiceover for The Great British Garden Revival for an episode on “Shrubs” in the forthcoming series to air on BBC2 in December.
Matt is perhaps best known as the face of The City Gardener and Selling Houses, aired on Channel 4 from 2002 to 2006. Matt also contributes to Radio 4’s long running series, Gardeners’ Question Time.
The series brings together Britain’s biggest TV gardening talent in a bid to inspire viewers to save the UK’s garden heritage.
Great British Garden Revival will see Matt plus 13 of Britain’s other top TV gardeners including Monty Don, Carol Klein, Joe Swift, Rachel de Thame, Chris Beardshaw, Alys Fowler and James Wong – teaming up.
In each episode, two presenters will focus on an endangered aspect of gardens which they feel passionately about, and offer advice to viewers on how they can restore and look after their gardens.
